i cannot attach phone number to account on new app. date of birth must be wrong

I have logged in ok, but trying to add my details and it says they are wong. The only thing that can be wrong is date of birth. There is no help facility which isn't very helpful. I wish to upgrade my contract but can do so I til.i get this sorted.
