My iMessage won’t activate what do I need to do

Sorry you’re having trouble with that I can appreciate how frustrating it is when iMessage won’t activate, especially after everything else you’ve already had to deal with.

 

This isn’t something we can directly switch on from our side, but it’s usually related to device settings, network registration, or Apple activation servers.

 

What you can try first

Please check the following on your device:

  • Make sure you’re connected to mobile data or Wi-Fi
  • Go to Settings → Messages → iMessage → toggle OFF and ON
  • Go to Settings → FaceTime → toggle OFF and ON
  • Ensure your date & time are set to “Set Automatically”
  • Restart your phone
  • Make sure you have credit or an active plan that supports SMS, as Apple may send a small international SMS during activation

Also note: iMessage activation can sometimes take up to 24 hours.
