Hi there,

My current contract with you expired 21/05/2026.

I want to switch to a sim only deal, therefore have ordered a new contract (customer number: 2325154).

I requested my current number be kept, but the new contract shows a new number. How do I go about keeping my number with my new sim and cancelling my old expired contract?

many thanks

Hi @Moorcroft72

Thank you for reaching out.

We understand the confusion and are happy to clarify this for you.

If you wanted to keep your existing iD Mobile number and move onto a SIM Only plan, this would normally need to be completed as an upgrade on your existing account rather than by taking out a new iD Mobile contract.

As you've already placed a new SIM Only order, this has created a separate iD Mobile account with a new mobile number. Unfortunately, we are unable to transfer a mobile number directly from one iD Mobile account to another iD Mobile account.

If keeping your existing number is important, we would recommend contacting our Sales Team or Live Chat Team as soon as possible. They will be able to review the options available to you, including whether the new order can be returned or cancelled if you are still within the applicable returns period, allowing you to proceed with a SIM Only upgrade on your existing account instead.

Please note that your existing contract will remain active until it is upgraded or disconnected, even if the minimum term has ended.

You can contact our Sales Team on 0800 049 0250 or speak with an advisor via Live Chat.
