Question

Ported number not showing on outgoing calls and texts

I've recently ported mine and my wife's numbers over to ID mobile however when we text or call our ported retained numbers are not always showing. Instead the recipient gets the initial number provided by ID mobile and therefore doesn't know who the text or call is from.

Hi @BenRB,

We are so sorry to hear of the issues that you are currently facing. Please try the steps below, depending on the type of phone you have:

For Android:

Open Settings
Tap General Management
Tap Reset
Select Reset network settings

For iPhone:

Go to Settings
Tap Phone
Tap My Number
Delete the old number
Enter the new/current number
Tap Save

Then follow these steps to refresh iMessage:

Go to Settings
Tap Messages
Turn iMessage OFF
Go to Settings > General
Tap Reset
Choose Reset Network Settings
Once your iPhone restarts, go back to Settings
Tap Messages
Turn iMessage ON again

Your iPhone should now recognise the SIM and verify your number to get it working again.
