Safesearch - Asking a Question That's Been Asked Before

This has been asked before, but it's clear iD mobile are incapable of resolving it. Safesearch has been activated without my consent and won't turn off.

The responses always say 'go to the services section to turn it off'. There is no services section in the app. It's in the 'Plan' area as 'Manage your iD Services'. At least know how to navigate your own app.

Of course when you get there you find safesearch is already showing as off, so there's a setting which isn't accessible to customers turning this on. No other provider I've ever been with has this issue, so perhaps iD can tell me how they actually propose to resolve this?

Thank you for your email, thank you for getting back in touch, and I’m really sorry for the ongoing frustration this has caused.

You’re right to point out that the wording in our previous messages was unclear. The correct location in the iD Mobile app is Plan → Manage your iD Services, not a separate “Services” section. I appreciate you highlighting that.

I understand that SafeSearch is showing as Off in the app, yet you are still experiencing it being activated. This indicates that the setting is being applied from our side and is not something you can control through the app.  Kindly send us a private message so that we can escalate the matter too your technical team.

Try switching the option On, leave it for ten minutes, then turn it Off again. Restart the phone afterwards, which should hopefully resolve the problem.

If the Safe search is still turn on and unable to connect then it could be that the adult content filter is enabled and that could be playing a role. If the above steps do not work that ​@WelshPaul provided, then let us know and we can look into this further.
