Setting up the ID mobile app- No Security Code being sent/recieved.

I’m a new customer and my phone is working correctly, however when I’ve tried to register for the ID mobile app I manage to get through as far as verifying my mobile number. It says it will send me a verification security code but the text NEVER comes through. I’ve been trying for 2 weeks now on different occasions. I’ve tried turning it on and off, I’ve tried through the web browser. I now have a replacement SIM card because ID mobile thought this one was faulty but I can’t activate it without a verification code which AGAIN isn’t coming through. Please could someone tell me how I can fix this or get around it or even just talk to a human being that works for ID Mobile and can help solve my problem.

I’m sorry to hear that you’ve been struggling to register for the iD Mobile app and haven’t received your verification codes. I can only imagine how frustrating that must be, especially after trying multiple times and even replacing your SIM. 

 

It sounds like you’ve already done all the right troubleshooting steps, so let’s get this sorted for you. 

Please could you try the following for me: 

  1. Ensure your phone can receive standard SMS messages (try texting your number from another phone). 
  1. Remove and reinsert your SIM, then restart your phone. 
  1. Turn off Wi-Fi calling (if enabled), then try registering again.

Hi Luna, 

I turned my wifi calling off and that allowed the text to come straight through. I’ve now successfully registered on the app and I’m very relieved this is resolved. Thank you so much for the help.
