Sim scam and all the problems which follow

I received a text from iD mobile to say my new sim would be activated shortly.  I hadn’t requested one and on investigation the address on my account had been altered.  Trying to sort this is an nightmare as I have already wasted over 2 hours ‘chatting’  to 4 different agents.  They wouldn’t do anything as my address didn’t match the one on the account (no as the scammer had altered it).  My question is how do I now cancel my contract with them (pay monthly so no problem) when I cant log in my account?

Then I have to contact everyone who has my mobile number (friends, doctors, nhs, etc) to amend to a new one.  How come it’s easy for a scammer to do this?

Apart from the 1 ½ hours yesterday trying to sort this it has taken me another 1 ¾ hours this morning to finally get the sim cancelled. One of the main problems seems to be that the agent dealing with me goes away to deal with other customers?  There are often 5 minute gaps before they come back and reply.

I currently have no sim, no idea if the address on the account has been put back to mine and paying for a service which I don’t have!  The service that iD mobile give when there’s a problem is far below a standard a customer should receive.  It appears that a scammer can amend the address a lot quicker and easier than the honest customer can change it back.  I’m not impressed at all

After the above problem I went away on holiday (yes I could have done without it happening 36 hours after some toe-rag stole my account) and left fairly confident that the ‘live-chat’ person would have sent the promised new sim card.  On return there is no replacement SIM!  I now have no iD SIM and I’m still paying for the pleasure of being with iD mobile.  I also don’t seem to be able to log into my account as I no longer have a mobile number so can’t check if the address was moved back to mine after being hacked and moved to a London address. How do I cancel my monthly contract with iD?????
