    Hi @Cw1x,

Thank you for getting in touch, and I’m sorry to hear that your messages are displaying a different number since you switched to iD Mobile in August. I understand how confusing this must be, especially as you can still receive calls and texts on your original number.

To help resolve this, please check that your original number is correctly displayed in your handset settings by following the steps below.

    For iPhone:

    1. Go to Settings > Phone > My Number.
    2. Check that your original number, which you transferred to iD Mobile, is displayed.
    3. If the number is incorrect, try changing it to your original number. Please note that the change may not update or save immediately.
    4. If the issue persists, go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
    5. Enter your passcode if prompted and confirm the reset.

Please be aware that resetting network settings will remove saved Wi-Fi passwords and reset other network-related settings.

    For Android:

    To check your phone number:

    1. Open Settings.
    2. Select About Phone or About Device.
    3. Select Status.
    4. Tap My Phone Number. On some devices, this may appear under SIM Status or SIM Card Status.

If your number is incorrect in your messaging settings:

    1. Open the Messages app.
    2. Tap More (⋮) and select Settings.
    3. Select Advanced, then Phone Number, if available.
    4. Enter your original number and save the changes.

    If the issue continues:

    • Remove your SIM card, restart your phone, and reinsert the SIM.
    • If possible, test your SIM in another compatible handset by sending a test SMS to see whether the recipient still sees the temporary number.

These steps can help establish whether the issue is related to your handset or SIM. If your messages continue to display the wrong number, please let us know so we can investigate the number transfer and messaging service further.

We apologise again for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience while we work to get this resolved.
