I have just started a new account with id mobile through Carphone Warehouse. My current account is also with idmobile. How can I transfer my old number to the new phone as getting a PAC will not work?

Hi @skd

I’m really sorry, but our system does not allow internal number transfers. You can, however, transfer a number from a different network to iD Mobile, or from iD Mobile to another network. The only way to keep your current number with us is by upgrading your existing contract, which will create a new plan while retaining your old number.

One thing you must be made aware of before trying to upgrade your contract is that there is a tiering system in force, and moving more than one tier is currently not allowed by the system. As such, if you are on a SIM-only contract, your options to upgrade are extremely limited, so anything other than the most basic of handset will not be available.

Simply port your existing number to another network and then port it back in 24 hours later.
