2 contracts, one phone, help needed!

Hi, my partner ordered a new phone for our daughter, same number, 100GB data. Next day he cancelled it and I ordered her one with a new number and unlimited data. The phone arrived and has the old number, and when we activated it, my partner, not me, got an email. The bill is for the amount he was to pay on the order he cancelled, still has the old number that he cancelled but somehow his plan is now unlimited data, which is what I ordered! His plan was £27 for 100GB but is now saying £27 unlimited. I have spent 2 hours on the live chat and they can't see a problem and Carphone warehouse are saying that my order number was delivered.  So, basically, correct model of phone, wrong number,associated with wrong person. We are both paying for one phone! This is complicated I know, but can anyone advise?
