all calls go to voicemail and are engaged when dialling calls, but whatsapp calls work normally.

I've returned from Turkey where again I was let down by id mobile where my roaming add on failed to work causing lots of hassle and getting lost due to to no Internet.

Now I've got home I can't make a call and Amy I receive go to voicemail without ringing, then I cant check my voicemail either because its an engaged tone.

I've tried all their remedies but like the system they don't work.

I refuse to believe it's the device as all calls work normally on WhatsApp and the phone recognises my phone number in the 'about phone' information.

The phone dials etc, informs of voicemail it just cannot connect to the network for some reason.

Call forward is not on.

Any ideas that ultimately worked?

Can't wait to bin this contract.

It’s important to understand the distinction between traditional phone calls and WhatsApp—they’re entirely separate platforms that rely on fundamentally different technologies for making and receiving calls. Try resetting your devices network settings.

I'm aware whatsapp uses different protocols.

I've tried resetting network settings.

The second time I tried worked.
