cannot register E-Sim / transfer to old number

Hi, I’m trying to switch over my mobile number from my mobile ID, I have the correct details but keep getting this error message? I have emailed but not getting a response, so how am I actually supposed to use my new sim if I can’t convert my number over? 
 

it says I’ve ordered an E-Sim but then doesn’t give me a link to download it or anything and when I try to register the mobile ID, it sends a text to the mobile ID number which I dont have access to, I’m going round in circles, can anyone help? I’m very close to just cancelling

you’ve ordered an eSIM and no download link has been received, or the verification text is being sent to a number you can’t access, it usually means the activation or Mobile ID setup hasn’t completed properly yet.

For now, please don’t cancel the contract ,this can be resolved.

Here’s what I recommend:
• Check your email (including junk/spam) for an activation or eSIM QR code
• Make sure your phone is connected to Wi-Fi
• Do not delete any numbers from your phone yet
• If available, try logging into your iD account on a different browser or device
