changing number with pac code.

Why can’t you change numbers from one id account to the other? Do I have to wait for the end of the other id contract for the pac code to work as I don’t want to keep my new number but it won’t let me use my old one as it’s still under contract.

    Hi @RCD,

    We're sorry for the confusion.

Unfortunately, iD Mobile doesn't support internal number transfers, so it's not possible to move a number directly from one iD Mobile account or plan to another.

The only ways to keep your existing number are to:

    • Upgrade the plan that currently has the number, or
    • Transfer the number to or from another network using a PAC.

As your old number is still attached to an active iD Mobile contract, you won't be able to move it onto another iD Mobile account. If you'd like to keep that number on iD Mobile, you'll need to wait until you're eligible to upgrade that specific plan and then complete the upgrade on that account.

We appreciate this isn't the answer you were hoping for, but it's currently not something that's supported by iD Mobile.

    Regards,

The other contract was in my mums name and details etc so I had to get a new contract so it’s all in my details. So there is no way to get the number from the other contract to my new one?

    Hi @RCD,

Unfortunately, no. If the other contract is in your mum's name and you've taken out a new contract in your own name, we're not able to transfer the mobile number from her account onto your new iD Mobile account.

I appreciate this isn't the answer you were hoping for, but I hope that clarifies things.

    Regards,
