Converted to iDMobile eSim but want to keep old number

Today I’ve moved to a sim only IDMobile deal and opted for an eSIM.  During activation of my eSIM I realised I was issued a new number, however I want to keep my old number.  What do I need to do to ensure I keep my old number?

    You need to cancel the new plan using the cooling-off period and upgrade your existing plan.

    Thank you for your comment WelshPaul. I’ve moved to iDMobile from another provider, so upgrading an existing plan was not an option.
