Question

Duplicate Sim

I have two phones, one for work and one I use when I go out.  Can I order a duplicate Sim so I don’t have to swap the Sim every time I go out?

    Hi @Teetotal

No, unfortunately, you wouldn't be able to have two active SIMs using the same mobile number.

Each iD Mobile number can only be active on one SIM at a time. If a replacement SIM is activated for the number, the existing SIM is deactivated.

If you regularly use two handsets, you would need to move the SIM between them, or consider using a separate mobile number/SIM for the second handset.

Ok thanks.   Is that something ID Mobile are working on changing for it’s customers?

    Hi @Teetotal.

    Thank you for your post.

At this time, I’m unable to confirm whether this is something iD Mobile are working on changing for customers.

As mentioned, each number can only be active on one SIM at a time, and activating a replacement SIM will deactivate the existing one. If you regularly use two handsets, the current options are to move the SIM between devices or consider a separate number/SIM for the second handset.

    Thanks,
