ESIM Activation and porting

Hi all,
Totally new to ID Mobile and the eSIM world.
I have purchased my daughter a new phone for xmas,
I have just received the eSIM QR Code,
Q.1 Do I have to activate this straight away (is there a time limit) or can this be done on Xmas Day?
Q2. My daughter is currently with EE, would she be able to use the new ID Mobile eSIM and then after Xmas request a PAC code from EE so that she can carry on using that number? or can we request a switch over date for XMAS day?

Sorry for all the questions, silly as they may be.

Hi ​@UKmdb , thanks for getting in touch.

The e-SIM QR code usually has a limited activation window, so we recommend activating it as soon as you can to avoid any issues later on.

Regarding the number transfer, we’re not able to schedule a specific switch-over date. Your daughter can request the PAC code from EE on Christmas Day, and once you provide it to us, the transfer will take around 1 working day to complete.
