ESim activation, do i need to wait until service starts

Good morning

I am transferring from Vodafone. My ID mobile service does not start until 19/9.

I will be using Vodafone until this date.

i have received instructions to activate my ID ESIM.

Do I wait until activation date before activating the ESIM

Thanks for your post.

Yes, you can activate your iD Mobile eSIM before your service start date so that everything is ready to go.

Once your number transfer from Vodafone completes on 19/09, your existing number will move across to the iD Mobile eSIM automatically.

In the meantime:

Install and activate the iD Mobile eSIM when prompted.
Keep your Vodafone SIM active until the transfer completes.
Once the transfer has finished, you can remove or delete the Vodafone SIM/eSIM.
Make sure iD Mobile is set as your primary SIM for calls, texts and mobile data.

You may also need to restart your phone once the number transfer has completed.
