Fault rectification

I have had a very frustrating experience of my Apple 16e . I got it in December 2025 and I have had a big problem with it. The problem is when I phone people they say I keep breaking up and they can’t understand me. I have been in touch with curry’s shop, Apple, and because I am a vulnerable customer the customer service department where I speak to a human being. They have all changed various settings ,to no avail. New SIM cards,E sim. No good. I am at my wits end customer service will not put me through to a manager who can make a decision. I can’t get to an Apple shop 4 hours round trip. I want a replacement handset but I can’t let this go without a replacement I phone so everything goes across. Do you think it is time (after 6 months)to get the ombudsman involved.

Has anyone else had this issue.

Hi @Carboy

Thank you for getting in touch, and I'm very sorry to hear about the difficulties you've been experiencing.

I appreciate how frustrating this must be, especially after trying multiple troubleshooting steps, including changing settings, using a replacement SIM and eSIM, and contacting both Apple and Currys without resolving the issue.

To help us investigate further, could you please confirm whether this issue occurs in all locations or only in certain areas? If possible, also let us know your postcode so we can check for any network issues that may be affecting call quality.

If we've completed all the relevant network troubleshooting and there's no network fault identified, the next step would be to assess whether the issue is related to the handset. We'll be happy to review your case and advise you on the options available.

Thank you,

This seems to be going round and round in circles . As I have said Apple , Curry’s and Id have been trying to sort it out since I have had it to no avail. As I have previously mentioned I live to far from an Apple Store. The only resolution I can see now is to have a replacement IPhone, or I want out of the contract , at no cost to me. It is nearly time to refer it the ombudsman.
