Google pixel 10a charging issue

I have a Google pixel 10a, still under warranty. In the past couple of days, when plugging in my phone charger, it will only charge if you hold it at a certain angle. However, the cable works just fine when plugged into a wireless charging pad which makes me think it's the actual phone port. What do I do, please?

    Hi @Camdes,

Thank you for getting in touch. I’m sorry to hear that you’re experiencing charging issues with your Google Pixel 10a. I understand how concerning this must be, particularly as your handset is still under warranty.

As you’ve explained that your phone only charges when the cable is held at a particular angle, this could indicate an issue with the charging port or its connection. However, the exact cause would need to be confirmed through a technical assessment.

We recommend taking your handset to your nearest Currys store so that a technician can inspect the device, assess the charging issue and advise you on the appropriate next steps.

Please take your handset and proof of purchase with you, if available, to help the team with their assessment.

At this stage, we’re unable to confirm whether any repair charges will apply. The technician will be able to assess the fault and advise you on the available options, including whether the issue can be addressed under the manufacturer’s warranty.

In the meantime, please avoid forcing or holding the charging cable at an angle, as this could potentially cause further damage to the charging port.

We apologise for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience. We hope the team can identify the cause of the issue and help get your handset working correctly again.
