how do i move my e-sim to a new handset?

My phone is on its last legs and I have another handset I want to use. How do I move my e-sim over to the new handset?

I would be more than happy to help you move your eSIM over to your new handset.

Because eSIMs cannot be transferred directly between devices, you will just need to request a free replacement eSIM through your account. Here is exactly how to do it:

Keep your old phone turned on: Please do not delete the eSIM from your old phone just yet. We will need to send a One-Time Passcode (OTP) to your current number to verify the request.
Log in to your account: Open the iD Mobile app or log in to your account online at my.idmobile.co.uk.
Request the eSIM: Head to My Account, select SIM & Phone Management, and choose Request a replacement SIM/eSIM.
Confirm your details: Select eSIM, confirm your email address, and submit the request.
Activate on your new phone: You will receive an email with instructions and a QR code. Simply scan the QR code with your new handset while connected to Wi-Fi to install and activate your new eSIM.

Once the new eSIM is active, your old one will automatically deactivate, and you will be good to go.
