I have just put in my new sim, but it won’t let me call or text. I have no idea what the number is either.

i thought you put the sim in and it’s done?

You may need to activate your new SIM:-

Where did you get the SIM from?
If you purchased the SIM from a shop then the number will be on the packaging it came with.

If you requested and received the SIM from iD Mobile and are switching networks via a PAC code, then you need to wait until your requested activation date and you have received the ‘Welcome to iD Mobile’ email that confirms your request for moving networks has been confirmed. If you have used a PAC code then your original number will be transferred over.

Have you tried turning your phone off and then on again? This will reset the settings associated with the new SIM.

If you are still having problems then your best option is to contact the Live Chat to discuss this:-

When you contact the Live Chat :-

Type ‘talk to a person’ in the dialogue box and this will bypass the unhelpful chatbot. 

Please be patient as the agents handle a few conversations at any one time so there will be a delay in connecting with an available agent and also any replies to your query.
