    Too late.

It got sorted yesterday. Finally. Not before I was cut off and scammed by people posing as ID customer services on Google. Why on earth would a phone provider make it impossible to speak to them over the phone? Clearly doing so leaves people prone to be scammed? They got my bank details, card details, address, email and phone number! I've had to cancel everything, order new cards, freeze my bank account and change all my passwords. About as awful a start as it's possible to get

    Hi @MEID,

I'm really sorry to hear about your experience, and I'm glad to hear that the original issue has now finally been resolved.

However, it's incredibly concerning to hear that, while trying to get help, you ended up speaking to scammers posing as iD Mobile customer services. I can only imagine how stressful it's been having to cancel cards, secure your bank account, change passwords and deal with the worry that comes with a situation like that.

You absolutely did the right thing by contacting your bank immediately and taking steps to secure your accounts. If you haven't already done so, we'd also recommend continuing to monitor your accounts for any unusual activity over the coming weeks.

For clarity, iD Mobile doesn't have a general customer service phone number, and we'd never ask for sensitive information such as your full bank details, passwords, PINs or one-time security codes. We also wouldn't normally call customers unless a callback has been requested or there's an ongoing case that requires contact.

I completely understand your frustration and why this has left such a negative impression, particularly when all you were trying to do was get a problem resolved. What should have been a straightforward support journey clearly became much more stressful than it needed to be.

I'm sorry again for everything you've had to deal with, but I'm pleased to hear the service issue itself has now been sorted. Thank you for sharing your experience with the Community, as it may help other members stay vigilant and avoid similar scams.

Take care, and if you need any further assistance, please don't hesitate to let us know.

    Regards,

I think ID needs to make the no customer service number issue clear on the website and app and mention that anyone online proclamating to be ID customer services with a phone number will be a scammer. It's extremely unusual for a phone company not to have a phone number, ergo people will assume any number is legitimate.
