I have just upgraded my phone, does my old mobile need unblocking i want to gift it to a relative that is on another network

Hi @Kevball1965,

No, there's no need to unlock your old phone.

All iD Mobile handsets are sold network unlocked, so your relative should be able to insert a SIM from another network and use the device as normal.

Before gifting the phone, we'd recommend:

Backing up any photos, contacts and other data you'd like to keep.
Signing out of your Google, Samsung or Apple accounts.
Performing a factory reset to remove your personal information.
