Hi @K james,

Sorry to hear you're having issues with storage on your new iPhone 16.

One thing to bear in mind is that if you've restored your new phone from a backup of your previous iPhone, a lot of your apps, photos, messages and files may have transferred across automatically, which can use up storage much more quickly than expected.

Here are a few things that can help free up space:

  • Go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage to see exactly what's using the most space.
  • Enable Offload Unused Apps (Settings > App Store > Offload Unused Apps). This removes apps you don't use often but keeps their data.
  • Turn on Optimise iPhone Storage under Settings > Photos to reduce the amount of photo storage used on the device.
  • Review and delete old videos, screenshots and downloaded files, as these are often the biggest storage users.
  • Check Messages for large attachments by going to Settings > General > iPhone Storage > Messages.
  • Remove any downloaded music, podcasts, Netflix content or other offline media you no longer need.
  • Restart the phone after clearing space, as the storage calculation can sometimes take a little time to update.

If you check Settings > General > iPhone Storage, it should give you a clear breakdown of what's taking up the space and where you can make the biggest savings.

Regards,
