i message not working

Hello,

I got an iPhone 17 (new number) from an iPhone 8 (old number). I want to keep my old number so I completed the PAC switchover. I have been using iMessage fine for a few weeks until the weekend with my old number. From Monday, my number has switched back to my new number. I am still able to receive calls and texts on my old number but I can only send iMessages from my email or new number. I can’t change on the ‘my number’ setting. I have tried turning I message on and off but nothing changes. When I first noticed it, my old number was selected on the send and receive section but now it is gone completely and I can’t get it back. How do I fix this please? I want to use my old number for all messaging

HI @Username36

Thank you for reaching out. I do apologise that you are facing issues with iMessage. To make sure that your number shows correctly under setting please follow the below:

For iPhone:
- Please go to Settings> Phone> My Number.
- Please change it to the number you wish to keep. It might not allow to change or save immediately.
- If the number does not change kindly open the Settings app. Tap General. Scroll down to the bottom of the list. Tap Reset. The "Reset" option is at the bottom of the Settings menu. ... Tap Reset Network Settings. Enter your passcode if prompted, then tap Reset Network Settings to confirm your choice. This will help.
