I urgently need to retain the mobile number

My iD Mobile plan has been disconnected, but I urgently need to retain the mobile number associated with the account. I am currently living in Ghana and no longer have the physical SIM. The number is linked to my WhatsApp and other important accounts.

Please confirm the exact date the number was disconnected and whether it is still within the recovery/quarantine period. If possible, I would like either the number reactivated on a replacement eSIM or a PAC issued so that I can port the number to another UK network.

    Hi @mredusei,

    Thanks for your post.

If your iD Mobile number has been disconnected, it's important that you contact our Customer Service Team via Live Chat as soon as possible, as the ability to recover a disconnected number can be time-sensitive.

While numbers are typically retained for around 60 days after disconnection, we can't guarantee that a specific number will still be available for recovery, and we aren't able to confirm the exact status of the number here on the Community.

Our Customer Service Team will be able to:

    • Confirm the date the number was disconnected.
    • Check whether it's still within the recovery/quarantine period.
    • Advise whether reactivation is possible.
    • Discuss any available options regarding a replacement SIM/eSIM or a PAC, where applicable.

Please contact the team via Live Chat at the earliest opportunity: https://www.idmobile.co.uk/live-chat

Given that the number is linked to WhatsApp and other important accounts, we'd strongly recommend reaching out as soon as possible to maximise the chances of recovering it.

    Regards,
