i wanted to keep same number but have been given a different one

Hi I've just activated my new eSim but I noticed I gave a duff6phone number now. I wanted to keep my old number I have a PAC number

    It seems you’ve bought a new plan instead of upgrading your current one. To keep your existing number you’ll need to return or cancel the new plan and upgrade your current one.

    I’ve just done the same but my old number should switch over on the date chosen which for me is 05 March
