Hi @Bazilbobby03,

Thanks for getting in touch, and sorry you’re having trouble with this.

Just a quick note for your security, this is a public community, so it’s really important not to share personal details like mobile numbers or account information here.

Regarding the issue, what you’re experiencing can happen after a number transfer (PAC switch). Even though your new number has been ported in, your phone may still be set to display the temporary number when sending texts.

Here’s how to fix it:

For iPhone:

  • Go to Settings
  • Tap Messages
  • Tap Send & Receive
  • Check which number is selected under “Start New Conversations From”
  • Make sure your correct (ported) number is selected

You can also check:

  • Settings > Phone > My Number
  • Ensure it shows your correct number in +44 format

For Android:

  • Open the Messages app
  • Tap the 3 dots (menu) > Settings
  • Look for More settings / Advanced / SMS settings (varies by device)
  • Check the sending number / SIM settings
  • Ensure the correct SIM and number are selected

You can also check:

  • Settings > About Phone > SIM Status
  • Confirm the correct number is shown (in +44 format if editable)

Extra step (recommended):

Try doing a network reset:

For Android:

Open Settings and then tap General management. Tap Reset, and then tap Reset network settings.

For iPhone:
Go to Settings.
Tap Phone.
Tap My Number.
Use the delete button to remove the old number.
Use the keypad to enter the new number.
Tap Save.
1. Go to Settings
2. Messages
3. Turn off iMessage.
4. Go to General
5. Reset
6. Reset Network Settings.
7. Once the iPhone is open.
8. Go to Settings
9. Messages Turn ON iMessage.
10.This will recognize the new sim and have it verified.

Regards,
