im switching to ID mobile, i have provided PAC code, waiting for the transfer to happened. why was i given an ID mobile number?

im switching to ID mobile, i have provided PAC code, waiting for the transfer to happen. Why does the conformation of my contract shows an ID mobile number instead of my original number?

Thank you for reaching out, and I'm sorry for any confusion regarding the mobile number shown on your contract confirmation.

When you take out a new iD Mobile contract, the service arrives active with a temporary iD Mobile number. This is why your contract confirmation currently shows an iD Mobile number rather than your existing number.

As you've already provided your PAC code, we'll arrange the transfer of your existing number once the order and SIM are ready. We don't transfer the number before you receive your iD Mobile order, as this could disconnect your existing service with your current provider before you have access to your new iD Mobile SIM, potentially leaving you without a working service.

Once the transfer is completed, your original number will replace the temporary iD Mobile number on your new service.

We apologise for any confusion this may have caused and appreciate your patience while the number transfer is completed.
