I currently have two contracts with I’d mobile. The first is a sim only pay monthly contract and I have recently taken out a new monthly contract. How can I port my old number (sim only) to my new contract so I can keep my old number?

Hi @EJdud

Thank you for reaching out.

We understand that you would like to keep your existing iD Mobile number from your SIM Only plan and use it on your new monthly contract.

Please note that we are unable to transfer a number internally from one iD Mobile account/contract to another iD Mobile account/contract. As the new contract was set up separately, it will have its own mobile number assigned to it.

To keep your existing number, you would need to complete an upgrade on your current SIM Only account rather than taking out a separate new contract. This allows you to move onto a new plan/handset while keeping your existing number.

Alternatively, you can transfer your number to another network using a PAC code and then transfer it back to iD Mobile on the new contract, however this can cause delays or issues after the transfer process, so we would not recommend this option unless necessary.

We would recommend contacting our Sales Team who can review your account and discuss the options available. You can contact them via Live Chat or by calling 0800 049 0250.
