iphone 16 not charging . is it under warranty still

My iPhone is about 16 months old into 24 months contract. It will no longer charge. I took it to Apple Store and they ran diagnostics to find it is likely a software problem. They only provide 12 month warranty but said curry's ( vendor) would likely provide 24 months warranty. Can you confirm this is the case and if so how do I get fixed? Thanks

If your iPhone is around 16 months old and Apple have advised that it may require further attention, we'd recommend taking the device to a Currys store or an Apple Authorised Service Provider for assessment.

Currys may be able to offer a fixed-price repair service, while an authorised Apple repair centre can advise on the available repair options and costs.

As warranty and repair options can vary depending on the nature of the fault and how the device was purchased, the repair centre will be best placed to confirm what's available once they've inspected the handset.
