iPhone Air Network Issues

Hi, I don’t know what to do so i’m reaching out to the community. I’ve been with ID for 3 years now, I upgraded to the iPhone Air in Sept/October. I’ve been having numerous issues with coverage.

The main issues I’ve had so far:

  • Delay - while i’m on the phone they’d be a delay between what I say and what they say.
  • Person Can’t Hear Me - despite being connected to Wifi Calling people would say “hello, are you there” all the time

An agent on live chat said I need to get a replacement sim and to be honest things have improved in terms of call quality but now i’m getting sporadic dropouts where i’m losing all coverage completely.

The iPhone shows no bars (not no signal, just no bars) switching the phone to airplane mode and off again seems to restore coverage but more concerningly several people have told me they have tried to call me and they said they get a message about “not being available”.

I have a voicemail so no idea what is going on??

I’m on my 3rd ESIM now and i’m still having sporadic drop outs. I’m in a static location at home, live chat is just so poor - the customer service agent says to carry out a reset, and a new esim and i’ve done this several times now with no improvements.

What do I do?

Hi @HyperSpecter92

Thanks for taking the time to explain what’s been happening.  I can understand how frustrating this must be, especially after already trying multiple eSIMs and troubleshooting steps.

From what you’ve described (dropouts, no bars, missed calls going straight to voicemail), this does sound like something that needs a deeper technical review rather than standard resets or SIM changes.

We would need to escalate this to our Technical Team so they can investigate your connection in detail and check for any underlying network or account-specific issues affecting your service.

The best next step would be to contact our team directly via Live Chat here: https://www.idmobile.co.uk/live-chat, so they can capture all the details and raise this escalation for you.

If you can, please make sure to include everything you’ve already tried, as well as the issues you’re experiencing (location, timing, and missed calls). This will help the Technical Team investigate more efficiently.

They’ll take a closer look and come back to you with the appropriate resolution.
