iphone fault

Hello, I need to raise a formal fault with my iPhone 16 Pro, which I purchased new from iD Mobile in September 2025.

Apple has confirmed that the manufacturer’s one-year warranty has now expired. However, the phone has never been repaired, opened or had any parts replaced.

The rear camera system has developed a fault:
• The 0.5× Ultra Wide camera is no longer available/working.
• Rear-camera Portrait mode no longer works, although Portrait works with the front camera.
• The same problem occurs in WhatsApp, so this isn’t just a Camera app issue.
• Parts & Service History shows “Unknown Part”, despite the phone never having been repaired.

I would like iD Mobile to assess the device as a potentially faulty product under my statutory consumer rights.

I understand that the manufacturer’s warranty has expired, but I am not asking for this to be dealt with solely under Apple’s warranty. I am asking the retailer to assess whether the phone is faulty and whether I am entitled to a remedy under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Please arrange an assessment and let me know the next steps.
