Since transferring my old number across to this ID mobile account. My number doesn’t seem to be mirroring on the apple iMessage account. Please can you provide some guidance on how to fix this issue.

    Hi @Tomwatkins6,

    Thank you for your message.

We are really sorry for the inconvenience you’re experiencing with iMessage after transferring your number. We completely understand how frustrating it can be when everything doesn’t sync properly, especially after a number transfer. I’m here to help you get this sorted.

First, please check that your number is correctly set up in iMessage. Go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and make sure your phone number is selected under “You Can Receive iMessages To and Reply From.” If your number isn’t showing there, that’s likely the cause of the issue. It’s also a good idea to confirm that your number is saved correctly on your device by going to Settings > Phone > My Number and ensuring the correct number is listed.

Next, try refreshing the iMessage service by toggling it off and on. You can do this by going to Settings > Messages, turning iMessage off, waiting about 30 seconds, and then turning it back on. This often helps re-trigger the activation process. While you’re at it, please also make sure your date and time settings are correct by going to Settings > General > Date & Time and enabling “Set Automatically.”

Another helpful step is to reset your network settings. Head to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This can resolve underlying connection issues, although it will remove saved Wi-Fi passwords, so you’ll need to reconnect afterward. Additionally, you can try signing out of your Apple ID and back in via Settings > Messages > Send & Receive, which can also help refresh the connection.

Lastly, ensure that you have a stable internet connection, as iMessage activation requires either Wi-Fi or mobile data. If you’ve gone through these steps and your number still isn’t appearing or activating, it may just need a bit more time after the transfer, or there could be a backend activation issue that needs further checking.

    Thanks.
