Hi @Unatony27.

I’m really sorry you’re dealing with that, especially on a brand new phone, it’s really frustrating when the eSIM doesn’t come across properly.

Let’s try a few quick checks to get you connected again:

First, make sure the eSIM is actually installed:

Go to Settings → Mobile Data / Cellular
Check if your iD Mobile line is showing there
If it says “No SIM” or “Not activated”, the eSIM hasn’t fully set up yet

Next, try a simple refresh:

Turn Airplane Mode ON for 30 seconds, then OFF
Restart your iPhone
This often forces the eSIM to reconnect to the network

Also check:

You’re connected to Wi-Fi (needed for eSIM activation)
Your phone is fully updated (iOS update pending can block activation)

If it still says “contact provider”:

The eSIM may not have been properly issued or transferred from your old device
You may need a new eSIM activation QR code or re-provisioning from iD Mobile

At that point, support will need to resend or refresh your eSIM on the network side so it can activate on your iPhone.

Hi @Unatony27

Thank you for reaching out.

We're sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your new handset.

The message you're seeing suggests that the eSIM transfer has not completed successfully. Unfortunately, eSIM transfers cannot always be completed automatically between devices.

If you still have access to your iD Mobile app on your previous device, please log in and check whether you can request a replacement eSIM through the app.

If you no longer have access to the app, or if the eSIM transfer has failed, please contact us via Live Chat or send us a direct message through one of our social media platforms. A member of the team will be able to complete the necessary security checks and arrange for a new eSIM QR code to be issued.
