My number cannot be used for imessage or facetime

My number cannot be used for imessage or facetime on my iphone 17. I recently moved to IDMobile. When I go into my settings the phone number showing is my temporary number that I got with my new phone. When I try to change it to my actual number it won’t let me save it.

Feel as if problem stems from my change over to ID Mobile from O2 and the esim I got.

Sorry you’re dealing with this. it’s quite common after switching from O2 to iD Mobile with a new eSIM, where the temporary number can stick in iMessage/FaceTime.

 

Quick fixes to try:
Turn iMessage OFF, restart phone, then turn it back ON
Do the same for FaceTime (OFF → restart → ON)
Go to Settings → Messages → Send & Receive and sign out of Apple ID, then sign back in
Check Settings → Phone → My Number and manually enter your correct number
Restart your phone again


If still not working:
Reset network settings (this often fixes it after port/eSIM changes)

 

If it still shows the temporary number after this, let us know
