my phone's sending text messages with the wrong number

Iv changed over from Vodafone and used my PAC code but my number that was originally given to the phone is still showing via text message when I text people

Hi @Jayboe19.

Thank you for your post. Congratulations on the switch over. This can happen after a number transfer, and a network reset should resolve it.

On iPhone:
1. Go to Settings
2. Tap Phone
3. Tap My Number
4. Use the delete button to remove the old number
5. Use the keypad to enter the new number
6. Tap Save
7. Go to Settings > Messages and turn OFF iMessage
8. Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
9. Once the iPhone restarts, go back to Settings > Messages and turn iMessage back ON — this should recognise the new SIM and verify it

On Android:
1. Open Settings
2. Tap General management
3. Tap Reset
4. Tap Reset network settings
