    Hi @Abdur

    Try the following:-
    Quick Fixes
Reboot device: Turn your phone completely off and back on.
Toggle Airplane mode: Turn it on for 30 seconds, then turn it off to force a network refresh.
Re-seat SIM card: Take the SIM tray out, wipe the gold chip gently with a clean cloth, and put it back firmly into SIM slot 1.
Reset network settings: Clear your phone’s network configuration in your settings menu, which fixes hidden software glitches.
    Advanced Troubleshooting
Test another phone: Put your iD Mobile SIM into a different unlocked phone. If it still fails, the SIM card is broken. If it works, your original phone has the issue.
Check local coverage: Look at the iÐ Mobile Coverage Checker to see if a local mast is down near you.

Your next option is to order a replacement SIM as the one you have may have failed.

This details how to get a replacement SIM:-

Please be aware that you account will be suspended and you won’t be able to use your call/data plan until the new SIM is activated if ordered via your account.

If you find that the new SIM also does not work then you need to contact the Live Chat to discuss how to move forward with this problem (The Live Chat team are available 9am - 8pm Monday to Friday, and 9am - 6pm Saturday and Sunday) :-

     https://www.idmobile.co.uk/live-chat

When you contact the Live Chat :-

Type ‘talk to a person’ in the dialogue box and this will bypass the unhelpful chatbot.

Please be patient as the agents handle a few conversations at any one time so there will be a delay in connecting with an available agent and also any replies to your query.

You can also contact iD Mobile by sending a private message via their Socials (Facebook, X or Instagram)

    iD Mobile social media accounts:-

    or email socialqueries@idmobile.co.uk.

    Good luck x

    Hi @Abdur

Thank you for getting in touch with us.

I'm sorry to hear that. If your physical SIM has suddenly stopped working, please try the following steps:

    1. Restart your phone.
    2. Remove the SIM card, clean it gently, and reinsert it securely.
    3. Check if the SIM works in another handset (if available).
    4. Make sure your device is not in Airplane Mode and that network settings are enabled.
    5. Check for any visible damage to the SIM card.

    Thank you,

One of my sims also just randomply stopps working. Interestignly enough always at the same location spot. I’ve taken it out, rebooted the phone and it came back to live. But 2 days later the same issue. I can’t continue taking out the sim. Sim looks intact. I can’t be inaccessible while waiting for a replacement SIm, what are the other options you can offer?

    Hi @Kozyavka.

Thank you for your post.  I am sorry for the difficulties you are facing with your sim.

If you are not able to be inaccessible until the physical sim arrives, I would suggest getting an esim instead as it can be generated within 10 minutes if your device is not esim compatible you can get a physical sim from your nearest Currys store at no extra cost.

    Thanks,
