Question

my sims for my new phone isnt working

My phone has told me for the last week it's not registered on a network but it clearly is as the top left says iD. I have received calls but like 3 in the last week instead of how many I usually would. It's sending texts to me to let me know people have called but it's not communicating that to the phonebook where it's not recognising any missed calls. My bills are up to date and PAID. I can't use my phone.

    Hi @Redranger,

We are so sorry to hear of the issues that you're currently facing.

Please try the following troubleshooting steps:

    • Restart your phone.
    • Turn Airplane Mode on for 30 seconds, then turn it off.
    • If you're using a physical SIM, remove it and reinsert it.
    • Check that your software is fully up to date.
    • Make sure Network Selection is set to Automatic.

Then please try the steps below, depending on the type of phone you have:

    For Android:

    1. Open Settings.
    2. Tap General Management.
    3. Tap Reset.
    4. Select Reset Network Settings.

    For iPhone:

    1. Go to Settings.
    2. Tap Phone.
    3. Tap My Number.
    4. Delete the old number.
    5. Enter the new/current number.
    6. Tap Save.

Then follow these steps to refresh iMessage:

    1. Go to Settings.
    2. Tap Messages.
    3. Turn iMessage OFF.
    4. Go to Settings > General.
    5. Tap Reset.
    6. Choose Reset Network Settings.
    7. Once your iPhone restarts, go back to Settings.
    8. Tap Messages.
    9. Turn iMessage ON again.

Your iPhone should now recognise the SIM and verify your number correctly.

If you've already tried all of the above and are still experiencing issues with missed calls, voicemail notifications, or the "not registered on a network" message, please let us know the make and model of your phone and we'll be happy to advise further.
