I've taken out a New Contract with ID S26 Ultra via mobiles.co.uk, but would like  but to port my current no from current iD contract (S24+) Couldn't see a 1TB version as an upgrade sadly. Anyhoo, can this be done? I do not wish to send the phone back and start again with an upgrade! Really difficult that there is no CS number or live chat to discuss things with :/

Please help!!!

Hi @Twotoucans

Thank you for reaching out.

I am terribly sorry as the system does not allow us to port internally. You can however transfer from a different network to our network or transfer from our network to a different network. The only way to keep your number with iD mobile is to do an upgrade from your old contract which will convert to a new one keeping your old number.

Thanks,

Anneline

Sadly as advised, it's too late for that. I'm also now got my 'old' contract and my new one running and need to end the old one. How can I do that please? The steps in the FAQ haven't worked

Hi @Twotoucans

In your case, the best option would be a “triangle port.”

This involves requesting a PAC code for your number from your old contract and transferring that number to another provider (for example, an EE pay-as-you-go SIM). Once the number has moved to that provider, you can request a new PAC code from them and use it to transfer your number onto your new contract.

This is the most reliable option available in your situation.

Please note that we’re unable to transfer numbers directly from one iD Mobile account to another, as there is a risk of the number being lost. The only way to keep your number on a new plan within iD Mobile is by upgrading on your existing account.

Thanks very much Michael.  Would have been a good plan! However, now too late for me as I've spent an inordinate amount of time giving all my contacts and accounts my new number. Hope this helps someone else though.
