Question

New phone wont take e-sim so need a physical one

Just changing my phone, out find it doesn't take an e-SIM.   I need to keep the phone number.

Trying to order a physical SIM online has been difficult.

Getting a new one from Currys doesn't seem to guarantee my number or PAYG credit…

Any help appreciated!

    Hi @Critter,

If your new phone doesn’t support eSIM, you’ll need a replacement physical SIM. Don’t worry, replacing the SIM on your existing account will allow you to keep your current mobile number and plan.

You can collect a replacement iD Mobile SIM free of charge from a Currys store and then activate it against your existing account.

Alternatively, you can contact our Live Chat team and they can arrange for a replacement physical SIM to be sent to you: https://www.idmobile.co.uk/live-chat

Please make sure you request a replacement SIM rather than taking out a new plan, as the replacement can then be activated with your existing number.

    Regards,

Thanks for this. I've just chatted with Liam and he's arranged a replacement (physical) SIM.

Needed a selfie of me holding my driving licence (or passport) as part of the verification process.  In case it helps someone else.

Thanks for getting back to me.
