Hi @Mainy1690,

I'm really sorry to hear you're experiencing issues with your SIM. Please try the steps below, depending on the type of phone you have:

For Android:

  • Open Settings
  • Tap General Management
  • Tap Reset
  • Select Reset network settings

For iPhone:

  • Go to Settings
  • Tap Phone
  • Tap My Number
  • Delete the old number
  • Enter the new number
  • Tap Save

Then follow these steps to refresh iMessage:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Tap Messages
  3. Turn iMessage OFF
  4. Go to Settings > General
  5. Tap Reset
  6. Choose Reset Network Settings
  7. Once your iPhone restarts, go back to Settings
  8. Tap Messages
  9. Turn iMessage ON again

Your iPhone should now recognise the new SIM and verify your number.

Regards,

Hi @Mainy1690

Thank you for the update, and I’m sorry to hear the issue has returned.

As the replacement SIM initially worked and has now stopped, this may indicate a network or provisioning issue rather than a fault with the SIM itself.

To help rule out common causes, please try the following steps:

  • Turn your phone off completely
  • Remove the SIM card and gently clean it with a dry, lint-free cloth
  • Reinsert the SIM securely and power the device back on
  • Toggle Airplane Mode on and off to refresh the connection
  • Try manually selecting a network in your phone settings

Try the SIM in another handset:
If possible, insert your SIM into a different unlocked phone. If the SIM works in another device, this would indicate a potential issue with your handset rather than the SIM or network.

Set your phone to 4G/LTE only:
Switching to 4G can sometimes improve stability, especially if 5G coverage is limited in your area.

On most devices, go to Settings

  • Select Mobile Data / Connections / Network Settings
  • Tap Mobile Networks or Network Mode
  • Choose 4G / LTE or LTE only (wording may vary depending on the device)
  • After changing this, restart your phone and check if the connection improves.

If the issue continues after completing these steps, it may require further investigation on the network side.
