New transfer & iphone 17 pro not changing to my old number

Having used the supplied PAC with my new phone, my phone now calls out on my old number but texts on the new number

Thank you for your response, your guidance was close but I had to switch off iMessage, make the changes & then switch my phone off, then go back to iMessage & switch it back on

Thank you for the message, and sorry to hear that. Could you please try the below and see if it makes a difference?

I'd kindly ask that you check the following:

Please go into your phone settings so that you can check your number. Go to "Phone," then "My Number." Please ensure the correct number is entered, using "+44" in place of the first "0."

Now go back to Settings, then "Messages." Make sure iMessage is turned on. Then go to "Send & Receive," and check that the correct number is selected.

Or:

Go to Settings, then tap [your name].
Tap Sign-In & Security.
Tap your primary phone number to make changes.
To remove this phone number from your account, tap Remove from Account.
Choose Add New Primary Phone or Email.
