Nightmare trying to get PAC code - please help!

I received a faulty SIM - but by the time I’d figured out it was faulty, I had already started the number porting process. Now I’ve requested a PAC code to be sent to me email (as I can’t use the SIM and therefore can’t receive texts), but the live chat team are unable to help. I’ve sent them my passport and everything. I ended up getting a repeated email saying I couldn’t be given a PAC code because I had already requested one, which I have never done. I desperately need my phone number now for work and iD are so far completely failing to meet their consumer rights obligations. Please could someone help me figure out how to get this PAC code?

    Hi @Emmybris ,

My apologies for the inconvenience you’ve experienced with your PAC code.

Could you please check your spam and junk folders as well, just in case the message was filtered there?

I would also recommend getting a replacement SIM from your nearest Currys store. Alternatively, you can send us a private message and we’ll be happy to arrange for one to be delivered to you within 2–3 working days.

Once you have your replacement SIM, you’ll be able to access your messages and retrieve the PAC code that was previously requested and sent to you.

Please note that a PAC code is valid for 30 days, so I’d advise acting promptly to make sure you can keep your number.

Hi, this isn’t the solution unfortunately, as I’m trying to move to another provider. I haven’t received a PAC code in any email folder, just this repeated message that I am supposedly unable to get one. Please advise? Thanks

Hi Joe, I can’t do that as the SIM is faulty and can’t receive or send texts, or connect to the network at all. Please advise? Thanks!

The other option is to go to a Curry's store bring along some I'd passport or driving licence otherwise it's a wasted journey regardless what you tell them. In sore they can give you a replacement sim card and do everything in store the sales agent  to get your sim up and running.

The thing is that won’t help as the PAC code is for the number on faulty SIM card. All I need is an email PAC. How can I get that?

You’d receive a replacement SIM card to replace the faulty one. Your desired number would be transferred from the faulty SIM to the new one. This would allow you to obtain that PAC.
