not receiving/ sending text messages and OTP codes

I recently joined ID and kept my same phone number - I receive I messages but can’t send or receive texts. My 5g and phone function works so not sure how to fix the messaging? Thanks

Thank you for joining iD Mobile. I’m sorry to hear you’re having issues with sending and receiving texts. I understand how frustrating this can be, especially when your data and calls are working normally.

 

To help resolve this, please try performing a network reset so your device can properly recognise the new SIM. Follow the steps below depending on your device:

 

For Android:

Open Settings
Tap General management
Tap Reset
Tap Reset network settings

 

 

For iPhone:

Go to Settings
Tap Messages
Turn off iMessage
Go to General
Tap Reset
Select Reset Network Settings
Once the phone restarts, go back to Settings
Tap Messages and turn iMessage back ON

 

Also, please check your number is correctly set by going to:

Settings > Phone > My Number
Delete the old number and enter your current one, then save

 

Once completed, your device should re-register on the network and restore full messaging services. If you’re still having issues after this, please let us know and we’ll be happy to help further.
