not recieving SMS verification for whatsapp

Trying to sign up to WhatsApp, however it isn’t sending me a verification SMS or call to my new number

I am yes, also, I’m receiving sms and calls and are able to make outgoing sms and calls. Just seems to be the WhatsApp verification code I’m not getting

Hey there ​@Luciewright94, sorry to hear that. Have you contacted WhatsApp to see if they’re having issues at all?

 

Have you tried restarting your phone, resetting network settings and then trying again?

I have tried everything to get a What’s App verification code. This seems to be an ongoing problem for many customers. ID mobile need to provide proper support to customers not simply fob us off with live chats and agents who can’t help. Please can you provide a telephone number or will have to report you to consumer watchdog as after a week of trying to sort out my husbands phone I’m inclined to cancel the contract as you are failing in your duty to me as a customer.

I had to change my number due to this. And I’ve had several problems since, including been scammed. I’ve only been a customer of ID for 5 months but if you can without loosing money, cancel your contract with ID and go elsewhere. Never again

When you go into phone settings, is your phone number showing correctly?

Yes that’s the problem! And yes of course I’ve checked that. It’s frankly disrespectful to customers to not provide a telephone service. You are just creating us with contempt.
