My iPhone is not recognising my new phone number it refers back to the SIM card number.

I'm sorry to hear your iPhone isn't recognising your new phone number and is showing the SIM card number instead.

This can sometimes happen after a number change or transfer, as the phone may take some time to update the number stored on the SIM. In many cases, the service will still work normally for calls, texts and data even if the correct number isn't displayed on the device.

Could you please try the following steps?

Restart your iPhone.
Go to Settings > Phone > My Number and check whether your new number is shown.
Make sure your iPhone is updated to the latest iOS version.
Try removing and reinserting the SIM card.
