Question

number is showing wrong

When people ring me, it comes through on my phone. But when I text, people receive it through another number (the one Id mobile gave me before I decided to keep my own). Has it just not transferred over yet? It’s been 2 weeks.

Hi @poppysmith,

I'm sorry to hear you're having this issue.

If your calls are coming through on your transferred number but your texts are being sent from your temporary iD Mobile number, this may be possible if you did a port in.

Could you please let us know the make and model of your phone? This will allow us to send you the correct troubleshooting steps to help resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

Thanks,

Tashnieka

Hi @poppysmith

Thank you for confirming.

Can you please follow the provided steps, before beginning these steps you would need to restart the handset.

Step 1: Open Settings.
Step 2: Go to Phone and then My number.
Step 3: Manually change the number in this field.

Switch off iMessage. Turn off your phone.
Wait 5-10 minutes, then turn it on again.
Go to Settings → Phone and make sure My Number is set correctly.

Reset iMessage settings: Go to Settings > Messages. Toggle iMessage to OFF and then back to ON. Once iMessage has been activated, scroll to Send & Receive to check if the right mobile number is ticked.

Please note that the number will take a few minutes to reflect on your handset.

Thanks,

Tashnieka

I can’t change the number as when I press “my number” it comes up with a blank box. Instagram messages are also going to my old phone now :/
