As you're now outside the applicable returns period, we're unable to process this as a return. However, we'd recommend taking the handset to your nearest Apple Store or Currys store, where a store technician can inspect the device and determine whether there is a hardware or software issue causing it to overheat.

They'll be able to assess the handset and advise you on the appropriate next steps, including any repair or replacement options available under the applicable warranty.
