    Hi @Isobelb1903,

Thank you for getting in touch, and I’m really sorry to hear that you’re experiencing problems with your new handset. I understand how disappointing this must be, especially as you’ve only had the phone for around two weeks and have already noticed that one of the speakers isn’t working and your mobile service keeps dropping.

    Regarding the speaker issue

As your handset is relatively new, we recommend taking it to your nearest Currys store and asking a technician to inspect it. Please take the handset and any relevant order or proof-of-purchase information with you. The technician will be able to assess the speaker and advise you on the appropriate next steps.

    Regarding your signal and coverage

Please also try the following troubleshooting steps to see whether they help improve your connection:

    1. Restart your phone to refresh its connection to the network.
    2. Refresh your connection by switching Airplane Mode on for around 30 seconds, then switching it off.
    3. Check your network settings and make sure network selection is set to Automatic.
    4. Try 4G only: If your handset allows it, go to your mobile network settings and select 4G/LTE only to see whether this improves your signal.
    5. Check your SIM card: If you use a physical SIM, remove and reinsert it carefully. If possible, test it in another compatible, unlocked handset to see whether the connection issue continues.
    6. Test in different locations, including outdoors, to help establish whether the issue is related to coverage in a particular area.

If your service continues to drop after completing these steps, please contact our Live Chat team so they can investigate the connectivity issue further.
